What to expect in classes
Take a moment to be present in you body. Can you wiggle your toes? Are you breathing in to your diaphragm? Is your jaw relaxed? These are all little things that make a big difference when taking care of your body. Take an hour for yourself to build awareness and move your body in a way that will benefit you in all areas of life.
In these classes we will be focusing on proprioception, mobility, toning, core activation and joint stability. Whether your looking to enhance sport performance, recovering from an injury or just looking to move in a new way everyone can benefit from Pilates movement.
Phoebe has live classes in East Hants and Surrey. She also offers online sessions as a one off and will be building regular online classes soon.

What is Pilates?
Pilates is a low impact and functional way of training. It has all the benefits of general exercise such as improving mental health, improving muscle definition and general fitness and health levels. However, Pilates has a main focus on improving coordination, body awareness and proprioception, breath control, core and pelvic floor activation, joint health and more! Matwork Pilates involves a variety of dynamic movements sequences in positions from standing to lying down. Small equipment can also be included to support or create resistance in movements keeping each class challenging and achievable for everyone!
